The closing gala of the second edition of HumanDOC International Documentary Film Festival - Global Development in Cinema took place at Copernicus Science Center in Warsaw , on December 15th, 2011 during The European Development Days.
This year's festival will officially be opened by the film "Hell and Back Aganin"/"Piekło powraca", an outstanding documentary, acclaimed a contemporary masterpiece of war film and the best and most award-winning documentary in the world in 2011.
"Little Voices"/"Nieme Głosy" by Jairo Eduardo Carillo and Oscar Andrade is an exceptional cartoon documentary whose creation took almost 10 years. Eventually, a real masterpiece, compared to "Waltz with Bashir", was created.
Culture, politics, mentality and living conditions in the East – whatever seems to be exotic in the Western countries, is especially close to us. One of the main directions of Polish foreign policy is the so-called Eastern Partnership and we can expect a debate about it during the Polish Presidency.
Let's look at Afghanistan with the eyes of an Afghan child... What will we see? And then with the eyes of a Polish person? What is the result?
